A clear view
Invisible window film growing in popularity.
AUTOMOTIVE WINDOW film sure ain't what it used to be. No longer does it turn purple or develop huge holes, discolor or shrink.
Today's window film also does a better job than ever of keeping out the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays, and is available in a wider variety of tint shades and finishes than ever before.
Actually, make that shades and lack of shades, as clear window film continues to gain in popularity, particularly in California where recent legislation now allows clear window tint to be installed on side roll-ups - the front-seat side windows. Before this new law was passed, California allowed no tint of any kind on the front side windows.
To see just how popular clear film is in the area, I took a trip over to Tint Plus in Laguna Hills, Calif. Tint Plus is recognized by window film manufacturer CPFilms Inc., of Martinsville, Va., as a Formula One shop, and installs the company's UV Shield clear window film, which is virtually invisible yet provides complete UV-A and UV-B protection.
